Welcome one and all to the first game day of the 2019 NFL season for the Arizona Cardinals.

Oh sure, it is only the preseason, but that won’t stop us from enjoying roughly 60 minutes of the 200 minutes of football that will be played tonight.

If you are going to the game, we’ll have some helpful notes from the Cardinals below. If you are watching the game from home, here is everything you need to know about tonight’s Arizona Cardinals game.

For those going to the game, some reminders from the Arizona Cardinals.

PARKING LOTS: Sportsman’s Park carparks and other game day parking lots will open at 3:00 PM on Thursday. With the combination of normal work day traffic and fans heading to the game, heavy traffic is expected along the Valley roadways. Fans should arrive during the first two hours the carparks are open (3:00–5:00 PM) for the easiest arrival experience. Traffic updates are available at www.az511.gov or by calling 511. Information regarding parking and tailgating guidelines can be found online at www.azcardinals.com/stadium/a-to-z-guide.

GREAT LAWN: The Great Lawn, which covers more than eight acres and was designed for use by fans while tailgating, will open on Thursday at 3:00 PM. Cardinals fans should be aware the Great Lawn is available for pre-game tailgating only.

GATES OPEN: All fans should be aware that main entrance gates at State Farm Stadium open at 5:30 PM on Thursday.

CARDINALS FREE MOBILE APP: To download the free app or update to the newest version, please visitwww.azcardinals.com/app. Fans who currently have the Cardinals mobile app are strongly encouraged to update to the latest version and also turn on notifications in their settings in order to fully utilize updated ticketing enhancements as well as exclusive in-stadium options such as live video, replays and NFL RedZone.

DIGITAL TICKETING ASSISTANCE: As the team transitions to this new league-wide mobile ticketing system, a Digital Ticketing Assistance team will be on hand near each entry point at State Farm Stadium to help fans who may need it. Anyone with questions should look for one of these white tents marked with green “Digital Ticketing Assistance” signage.

SECURITY PROCEDURES: In accordance with NFL best practices for stadium security, all fans will be subject to security screening prior to entry inside State Farm Stadium along with inspection of all bags and carry-in items. The stadium employs the use of walk-through magnetometers to complete the screening process. Fans will be asked to ONLY remove cellphones, cameras and other large metal items from their pockets. Other items like keys, wallets, coins and belts do not need to be removed. To expedite stadium entry, the Cardinals also offer a “No Bag Line” option for those guests entering without any bags to be checked. Fans are reminded that security checkpoints are the busiest during the 30 minutes leading up to kickoff and are encouraged to enter early.

NFL POLICY ON ACCEPTABLE BAGS: In accordance with NFL’s Public Safety Policy, fans can bring one of the following approved bags inside State Farm Stadium: 12” x 6” x 12” clear plastic bag or; 1-Gallon Plastic Freezer Bag, or; Small Clutch bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” in size. Non-approved bags will be denied entry into the stadium and fans will be asked to return the bag to their vehicle or dispose of it. There are no lockers outside of the stadium to store items nor can any items be held by staff members.
