The roster churn in Arizona continues.
After six additions to the roster, five via waiver claims and bringing in veteran edge Cassius Marsh, the team had to release some of the initial 53 players they had pegged for the roster.
The team announced that they have released 2017 fifth round pick T.J. Logan. Logan had been in contention with D.J. Foster for the backup running back spot behind David Johnson and Chase Edmonds.
The team also announced the release of Tanner Vallejo. Vallejo was one of the first waiver claims of the offseason for the Arizona Cardinals. Vallejo lost out to Joe Walker, Zeke Turner and Dennis Gardeck in the competition for the final linebacker spot on the roster.
Finally, the team cut preseason standout Pete Robertson, who was one of the biggest winners of the preseason. At least we thought he was a big winner.
Turns out the attractiveness of Cassius Marsh was too much for the Cardinals to pass up.
I’d wager we see one of these guys back, but if not, good luck moving forward.
