Arizona Cardinals vs Carolina Panthers second half thread

NFL: Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

There was not a lot of defense played by the Arizona Cardinals in the first half and it shows as they trail the banged up Carolina Panthers 14-10.

The Cardinals offense is moving the ball well today, but the Panthers offense and quarterback Kyle Allen are the real story.

Allen is 13/18 for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Arizona Cardinals are getting gashed by what has been a stagnant Panthers passing game through two weeks.

Yet, Allen has injected life into the Panthers offense and given the defense confidence that they’ll score enough this week.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals offense has done enough, running 38 plays and winning the time of possession battle, but the defense has only forced a single turnover and for the most part has been getting worked over by the Panthers offense.

The defense will need to find a way to get stops or force a turnover, or the offense better find a way to score touchdowns ok every possession the rest of the way.

Let’s go Cardinals, find that first win.
