30 out of 32 spots have been filled in the 2020 NFL Draft.
As the draft slots fill up, the mock drafts continue to come in, in a flurry.
Today, we get one from NBC Sports as they mock the 2020 NFL Draft.
From Tyler Roman.
8. Arizona Cardinals: CeeDee Lamb
School: Oklahoma
Position: WR
Notes: Kyler Murray gets one of his go-to playmakers from his OU days in Ceedee Lamb. The Cardinals need a new no.1 WR to replace the legend Larry Fitzgerald and Lamb fits the bill to a tee.
Lamb is one of my favorite WR prospects in this class with the way he competes, run routes, and attacks the ball in the air. He’s a flat out stud after the catch, he’ll outrun you or run over you.
We’ve seen what his former college teammate Marquise Brown is doing for the Ravens so far and I think Lamb makes a similar impact from day one in the league.
Lamb and Jerry Jeudy seem to be the consensus top two receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft and they’ll be mocked to the Arizona Cardinals feverishly over the next couple of months, especially if the Cardinals find a way to get D.J. Humphries back into the fold.
With the way the top seven fell, it will be interesting to see where the Cardinals would go in this instance:
- Joe Burrow - Cin
- Chase Young - Wash
- Isaiah Simmons - Det
- Jeffrey Okudah - NYG
- Tua Tagovailoa - Mia
- Justin Herbert - LAC
- Derrick Brown - Car
It is always different to see how other people view the draft talent, as Roman only has four offensive linemen in the first round and the first one is not off the board until 10.
Meanwhile, in Dane Brugler’s Mock Draft that we looked at on Friday, Brugler had six offensive linemen in round one, including four in the top 11.
We shall see how it plays out and why it is so important to look at a number of different writers and analysts opinions.
