The Arizona Cardinals were serious about N’Keal Harry last year.
This year, they come into the offseason needing to address the wide receiver and running back position and two ASU players at the 2020 Senior Bowl could fit the bill.
In the first of our daily look at players to know at the Senior Bowl, we start with a pair from the valley who could fit into what the Arizona Cardinals need.
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, ASU - Aiyuk is an electric play-maker with the ball in his hands and can run away and through defenders. He had a great final season at ASU, finishing with 65 catches for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s a guy who can win around the line of scrimmage, in the intermediate and deep, and the 6-1 206lbs Aiyuk plays with a physicality few other receivers do. He could sneak into day one like N’Keal Harry did, but if he’s around at 40, he would be a dynamic fit in the Cardinals offense.
Eno Benjamin, RB, ASU - Benjamin is a bit lost in the running back class, but this week in Mobile could remind fans and analyst what a dynamic runner he is.
The 5-10 203lbs Benjamin is a strong between the tackles runner with enough wiggle and juice to win outside. He runs well in zone concepts and has good hands out of the backfield. Benjamin reminds me of Aaron Jones coming out of UTEP, who went on day three and I think that’s the region you’ll see Eno go. If the Cardinals can’t get in the first wave of running backs, Benjamin will be a solid consolation prize.
