Nick Bosa wins 2019 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The 49ers bested the Arizona Cardinals one last time.

In the 2019 Pepsi Rookie of the Year fan voting, Nick Bosa won the award over Kyler Murray as well as a host of other impressive rookies.

Josh Jacobs of the Oakland Raiders finished with 1,150 yards rushing and seven touchdowns in 13 games in 2019. He had 1,316 yards from scrimmage on the season.

Miles Sanders of the Philadelphia Eagles had 818 yards rushing and three touchdowns as well as 509 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Sanders finished ahead of Jacobs in total yards from scrimmage with 1,327 yards on the season.

A.J. Brown was the lone wide receiver represented on the list. Brown had 52 catches for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns on the year. He also added one rushing touchdown to get to nine touchdowns scored on the season.

Murray of course finished the season with 3,722 yards passing and 20 touchdowns to go along with 544 yards and four touchdowns rushing. He was the first player in NFL history to throw for over 3,500 yards and rush for over 500 yards as a rookie.

Bosa had quite the season and showed all of the doubters how wrong they were. Remember, a large segment of fans believed guys like Quinnen Williams and Josh Allen were better than Bosa.

Instead, Bosa was a dominant force:

The fan vote was never going to favor Murray, especially against the 49ers fan base who has a far greater reach, add in that the 49ers are playing for a Super Bowl and the Cardinals won five games and the fan vote is not a surprise.

Congrats to Bosa, it should be a great rivalry for the next decade.
