After a slow first quarter, the Arizona Cardinals and their offense went into overdrive the rest of the way and the Cardinals moved to 4-2 on the season after a dominant 38-10 win over the hapless Dallas Cowboys.
What a performance after a miserable start to the game for Kyler Murray and the offense as they ran for 261 yards and three touchdowns on the night. Kenyan Drake lead the way with 164 yards and two touchdowns on the evening.
Murray was 3-12 at one point before getting it together and helping the offense get going in the second quarter and beyond.
The offense only had a chance to produce like it did because of how well the Cardinals defense played tonight.
Behind a ferocious pass rush that finished with three sacks and eight quarterback hits, the Cardinals defense played its best game in a couple of seasons.
Lead by their dynamic, play making safety in Budda Baker, who was the best player in a game full of current and future All Pros.
Baker was the biggest star on the field on Monday Night, finishing the night with a jaw-dropping stat line: seven tackles (all solo), one sack, one tackle for loss, one pass defensed, one forced fumble, and his first career interception.
It was quite the performance from the defense and that gave the Cardinals offense enough time to make things happen.
Kyler Murray finished with 188 yards and two touchdowns passing, to go along with 74 yards and a touchdown rushing.
That gives Murray 10 passing touchdowns and seven rushing touchdowns on the season after only six games.
That puts Murray on pace for 27 passing touchdowns and 19 rushing touchdowns... Or 46 total touchdowns.
While that may not happen, the scoring numbers are quite impressive for the Cardinals and their second year signal caller through six weeks.
It was a complete effort by the Cardinals and a strong statement on Monday Night Football.
Now, it is onto the Seattle Seahawks in a massive NFC West showdown.
