The bye week actually saw the Cardinals move up a spot. But extra preparation aside, one unit can only suffer as many personnel loss as the defense without inevitably getting lit up. Especially when those hits keep coming for the most important position on the defense.

They’ve somewhat stabilized in the middle tier after another flirt with the top ten. I think this is about were you might have reasonably expected them to have settled going into the season. They’ve still got some work to do, distressingly at some of the more premium positions such as receiver and corner.

Still, even for a skeptic such as myself, you’ve got to be pretty happy with the way the offense has looked. With the right moves in the offseason, I think it’ll be time to step up as an legitimate contender in 2021.
