Arizona Cardinals expect Budda Baker to play on Sunday

While we will take a look at the entire Thursday injury report tomorrow morning, one important piece of information was not on the injury report, but instead part of the press conference with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.

“It looks good for Budda. He’s getting better and better everyday, and I expect Budda to play,” Joseph said.

That is a big deal for the Cardinals who struggled this last week against the Miami Dolphins.

With Byron Murphy and Devon Kennard both back from the Covid-19 list and Jalen Thompson back last week off injured reserve the Cardinals may finally have their best defense on the field for the first time all season (obviously they are missing Chandler Jones).

For the Cardinals, it will be a tough task with the Buffalo Bills coming into town, but with more starters returning from injury the Cardinals will likely be up to the task.

There is not a more important player to be healthy than Baker though, as he is the engine of that defense.

Let’s hope Vance Joseph is right.
