The Arizona Cardinals defensive line has been ravaged by injuries in 2020, but they may be starting to turn a corner in terms of returns.

The team announced today that defensive end Zach Allen has been designated to return from the injured reserve.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has designated defensive lineman Zach Allen to return from the injured reserve list.

Allen can begin practicing and the team can activate him to the 53-man roster at any time during the next 21 days or at the conclusion of the three-week period.

Allen played in the first seven games of the season for the Arizona Cardinals before a leg injury sidelined him after the Cardinals Sunday Night Football win over the Seattle Seahawks.

He has missed their last three games and his presence was missed, along with a plethora of other contributors.

Getting Allen back healthy will be big for the stretch run as the Cardinals face teams that like to run the football in New England, the Rams twice, Eagles and 49ers.

Let’s hope for an impact soon from Allen.
