Coming out of a bye week with a 5-2 record the Arizona Cardinals seem to be in a good spot.
However, this week things became a bit more muddled, as Devon Kennard and Byron Murphy, to keys to the starting defense that had improved leaps and bounds will be out due to Covid-19.
Then you look at the Wednesday injury report and you see that despite the bye week, this team is still hurting.
Let’s take a look at the Wednesday injury report heading into the Cardinals matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

We know it’s unlikely we will see Kenyan Drake this week, but it is good to see him on the injury report and not on IR.
The issues on defense are made worse by the fact that Dre Kirkpatrick is out with a thigh issue and Jordan Phillips is still battling a hamstring.
Add to that Jordan Hicks continued presence as limited with ankle and wrist issues and this improving defense could be hurting on Sunday.
The Dolphins aren’t in any better shape on offense.
They’ll be without Myles Gaskin and Matt Breida at running back, meaning the Arizona Cardinals will see a heavy dose of Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird on Sunday.
Let’s hope for improvement on today’s injury report.
