Arizona Cardinals will sign Johnathan Joseph per report

NFL: New England Patriots at Houston Texans Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Steve Keim knows the vulnerability of his team, as the Seattle Seahawks receiving corps put up an astounding game against the Arizona Cardinals.

He also knows that Covid-19 is a step away from wreaking havoc on a position group like the cornerbacks, which it did already with Byron Murphy.

The Cardinals are adding veteran depth at the position according to Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston:

Johnathan Joseph is a 15 year NFL veteran who has been with Vance Joseph in Cincinnati, has a couple of Pro Bowl seasons in Houston and was with the Tennessee Titans for the beginning of the 2020 season before being released.

Joseph has had two really bad games in 2020 according to Pro Football Focus, one against the Minnesota Vikings (39.9 coverage grade) and last week against the Cincinnati Bengals (35 coverage grade).

However, he has been a steady performer the rest of the season and likely gives the Cardinals some veteran depth.

We will wait til the official announcement, but seems like an easy, cheap fit this time of year.
