That was a quick turnaround.

After playing 16 defensive snaps and four special teams snaps in the Arizona Cardinals 34-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins, the team announced on Monday they are releasing cornerback De’Vante Bausby.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has released cornerback De’Vante Bausby (BOZ-bee).

Bausby signed with the Cardinals on October 30 and played in yesterday’s game against the Dolphins.

It is interesting because the Cardinals like Bausby enough to sign him to the active roster, knowing there was a bit of a bidding war for his services on the practice squad, so we’ll see what happens here.

That likely means they think Byron Murphy, Dre Kirkpatrick or both will be back this week for the game against the Buffalo Bills.

Or, they believe Johnathan Joseph or Prince Amukamara will be ready.

Either way, good luck to Bausby wherever he ends up next.
