The Arizona Cardinals put a beat down on the streaking New York Giants, and in the process made up a game in the playoff standings.
That is right, a week later and the Cardinals are back in the playoffs and all of a sudden we do not care about the 2021 NFL Draft, but instead are focused on the playoffs.
Let’s get to it.
- Green Bay Packers (10-3)
- New Orleans Saints (10-3)
- Los Angeles Rams (9-4)
- Washington Football Team (6-7)
- Seattle Seahawks (9-4)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-5)
- Arizona Cardinals (7-6)
- Minnesota Vikings (6-7)
- Chicago Bears (6-7)
The Cardinals win gives them a chance to once again control their own destiny.
Here is another thing, the Cardinals have a shot to overtake the Bucs too, so they are not just fighting for the sevens seed, but could possibly move up to the six seed.
Here is the Bucs remaining schedule:
- @ Atlanta Falcons
- @ Detroit Lions
- vs Atlanta Falcons
Here is the Vikings remaining schedule:
- vs Chicago Bears
- @ New Orleans Saints
- @ Detroit Lions
Here is the Bears remaining schedule:
- @ Minnesota Vikings,
- @ Jacksonville Jaguars
- Green Bay Packers
So, when you look at everything, the Bucs may be tough to pass up with three games against bad teams. The Vikings and Bears play one another and with who each plays later, there is not necessarily a preference for a win as each plays a team who will be fighting for the one seed in the NFC.
At the end of the day, the Cardinals are likely fighting for the seven seed, so when you look at things, it doesn’t matter too much, as long as the Cardinals handle their own business, but for now when you look at things:
- vs Philadelphia Eagles
- vs San Francisco 49ers
- @ Los Angeles Rams
Do you think the Cardinals can take the seventh seed?
