The Arizona Cardinals defense played maybe their best game of the 2020 NFL season, but they also played by far their lowest snap total of the season.

What did the snap counts look like for the Cardinals defense in their 20-17 loss to the New England Patriots?

Defensive Line

Zach Allen - 42 (79%)
Angelo Blackson - 39 (74%)
Domata Peko - 33 (62%)
Trevon Coley - 21 (40%)
Michael Dogbe - 12 (23%)
Stacy Mcgee - 9 (17%)

Edge

Haason Reddick - 51 (96)
Markus Golden - 37 (70%)
Devon Kennard - 11 (21%)
Kylie Fitts - 8 (15%)
Dennis Gardeck - 2 (4%)

Off Ball

Jordan Hicks - 53 (100%)
De’Vondre Campbell - 51 (96%)
Isaiah Simmons - 16 (30%)

Cornerback

Patrick Peterson - 52 (98%)
Dre Kirkpatrick - 42 (79%)
Byron Murphy - 20 (38%)
Johnathan Joseph - 10 (19%)

Safety

Budda Baker - 52 (98%)
Chris Banjo - 22 (42%)

I think I see an issue with this Cardinals defense. Look at the names getting snaps at DT and Edge. Then remember who was expected to be the starters. There is a reason there are little to no big plays from the front line. That is a lot of rotational players.

Also, what is up with Devon Kennard, is he still hurt or has he fallen that far out of favor?

This defense is a bit of a mess, yet still played well on Sunday.
