The Arizona Cardinals made another flurry of moves as they continue to creep towards getting healthy.
From the team:
Activated wide receiver Trent Sherfield from the Reserve/COVID-19 list
– Designated defensive lineman Leki Fotu (LECK-ee / FOH-too) and cornerback Kevin Peterson to return from the injured reserve list
– Re-signed tight end Evan Baylis to the practice squad
Sherfield was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list last Thursday.
Fotu and Peterson can begin practicing and the team can activate each of them to the 53-man roster at any time during the next 21 days or at the conclusion of the three-week period.
Baylis was released from the Cardinals active roster on Monday.
Interesting that Larry Fitzgerald is not yet on the being activated from the Covid-19 list, let’s hope it is nothing.
The return of Fotu will be big as the Cardinals continue to inch back towards health along the defensive line as Zach Allen returned last week and Rashard Lawrence this week. We will see when Fotu is activated from the IR designated to return list.
Fotu and Fitz will be what to watch for as the week progresses.
