It has been a ride for the Arizona Cardinals former first round pick Josh Rosen, and maybe it ends in the same state it started.
Rosen, the California native was signed off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad to be part of the San Francisco 49ers after the 49ers announced that Nick Mullens was injured.
Mullens has been the starter for the 49ers while Jimmy Garoppolo had been on injured reserve. Even though Garoppolo was designated for return it seems unlikely he could be ready by this week.
That meant that the 49ers needed someone and they chose Rosen off the Bucs practice squad.
The former Cardinals first round pick has had quite a ride in the NFL, but not much success, as he has had stints in Arizona, with the Miami Dolphins and then with the Bucs.
Rosen in his career is 3-13 as a starter, has thrown for 2,845 yards 12 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
He has been on bad teams, so maybe going to a team like San Francisco with talent and a coach like Kyle Shanahan will be the ticket.
Good luck to Josh.
