A week later and the question becomes... Do the Arizona Cardinals end up with the 17th pick in the 2021 NFL, or will they lose in week 17 and fall into the 16th or possibly 15th pick?

It has been quite the ride for the Arizona Cardinals, and maybe they find a way to sneak into the 2021 NFL Playoffs, but that would require a lot, including beating Sean McVay for the first time.

So for now, we will work on the 2021 NFL Draft and where the Cardinals will be picking.

Let’s take a look at the top 18 picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, teams with stars are locked into their draft position.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-14) *
  2. New York Jets (2-13) *
  3. Miami Dolphins via Houston Texans (4-11)
  4. Atlanta Falcons (4-11)
  5. Cincinnati Bengals (4-10-1)
  6. Philadelphia Eagles (4-10-1)
  7. Detroit Lions (5-10)
  8. New York Giants (5-10)
  9. Carolina Panthers (5-10)
  10. Denver Broncos (5-10)
  11. Dallas Cowboys (6-9)
  12. Los Angeles Chargers (6-9)
  13. Minnesota Vikings (6-9)
  14. San Francisco 49ers (6-9)
  15. New England Patriots (6-8)
  16. Las Vegas Raiders (7-8)
  17. Arizona Cardinals (8-7)
  18. Indianapolis Colts (10-5)

The Cardinals ended up playing a fairly easy schedule, but we know the story of blown opportunities, none bigger than Saturday against the 49ers.

Right now, the Cardinals would pick 17th.

Here are the players who have been mocked 17th (not necessarily to the Cardinals, just have been players mocked 17th):

PFN - Jaycee Horn, CB - South Carolina
Sporting News - Christian Barmore, DT - Alabama
Walter Football - Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB - Notre Dame
NFL Mocks - Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT - USC
CBS Sports - Levi Onwuzurike, DT - Washington
NBC Sports - Carlos Basham Jr., Edge - Wake Forest
Tankathon - Kyle Pitts, TE - Florida

There are going to be some choices at 17 if that is where the Cardinals end up. Horn and Pitts would be my top choices right now, but you have to like the plethora of options.

Let’s hope we get at least one more week we don’t talk about this.
