While we wait for the big name, the Arizona Cardinals have gotten back two key pieces from the Covid-19 reserve list.
The team announced on Thursday that safety Deionte Thompson was activated.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has activated safety Deionte Thompson from the Reserve/COVID-19 list
Thompson was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on November 24.
Thompson has started four of the eight games he has played in in 2020, and has 24 total tackles on the season (17 solo and seven assisted).
Thompson has been decent this season, according to Pro Football Focus he has a grade of 53.7, which is below average, but his biggest issue this season has been his tackling grade, which is 46.6.
The Cardinals have been getting healthier on defense over the last couple of weeks, and Thompson is another piece to the puzzle as they wait for Jalen Thompson to get healthy as well.
Welcome back, Deionte.
