Arizona Cardinals officially announce coaching staff changes

2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game: Arizona Cardinals v Dallas Cowboys

A week after word has leaked out on a couple of coaching moves, the Arizona Cardinals made it official on Wednesday.

It's actually a short list of coaching moves considering there were some holdovers from the previous regime.

It is also a good sign that two former Cardinals coaches or players are coming back to the team, as it shows some faith in the organization.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced the hiring of the following four assistant coaches

Brentson Buckner - Defensive Line

Jim Dray - Offensive Quality Control

Mark Naylor - Assistant Strength and Conditioning

Derius Swinton - Assistant Special Teams

In addition, Charlie Bullen has been promoted to outside linebackers coach, Don Shumpert has been promoted to offensive assistant and Spencer Whipple has been promoted to assistant wide receivers coach.

We will talk about all of the new hires today as the team has provided a bit of background on each of them.

Welcome to the team and for some, welcome back to the desert.
