Compensatory picks have been handed out in the NFL and not shocking the Arizona Cardinals have zero of them in the 2020 NFL Draft.

When you lose most of your high level NFL talent after the 2016 and 2017 seasons and are unable to replace it, that tends to be what happens.

However, two teams the Arizona Cardinals are chasing in the NFC West received compensatory picks and it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

First, the Seattle Seahawks received three compensatory picks in the 2020 NFL Draft: 3rd round (101) for Earl Thomas, 4th round (144) for Justin Coleman and 6th round (214) Shamar Stephen. The three additional picks will be something to watch as the Seahawks are typically one of the busier teams on draft days.

The Los Angeles Rams also received a third round compensatory pick (104) in exchange for their loss of guard Rodger Saffold. The Rams also lost safety Lamarcus Joyner, but his loss was nullified by the signing of Clay Matthews by the Rams.

The Rams now have picks 52, 84 and 104 on day two.

Neither the Cardinals nor the NFC Champion 49ers received compensatory picks for the 2020 NFL Draft.
