There was quite the amount of standouts at the 2020 NFL Combine.

One of the biggest, pun intended, was Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton.

Becton weighed in at a scale tipping 364 lbs, standing at 6 feet and 7 inches tall.

He had a great show of mobility and that has lead to him becoming a popular pick in the top ten.

Todd McShay got on the bandwagon and mocked Becton to the Cardinals at eight in his newest 2020 NFL Mock Draft from E$PN.

8. Arizona Cardinals

Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

Linemen weighing in at 364 pounds aren’t supposed to run 5.10-second 40 times. Becton has versatility and power, and he obviously moves extremely well for his massive 6-7 frame. And if you’re the Cardinals, you can’t let your 5-10 franchise mobile quarterback continue to take 50 sacks per season. They just locked up D.J. Humphries — the team’s last first-round offensive line selection (2015) — to a new contract, but Marcus Gilbert is headed toward free agency. It’s time to invest another high pick in that line.

Becton would be moved over to the right side, so he would inevitably have some work to do transition wise, but he is one of the best run blockers in the entire draft. He would give the Cardinals a road grader at the right tackle position.

It would make the Cardinals already potent run game even better.

McShay’s top seven.

  1. Joe Burrow
  2. Chase Young
  3. Jeff Okudah
  4. Isaiah Simmons
  5. Tua Tagovailoa
  6. Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
  7. Derrick Brown

Becton is the first offensive linemen off the board in this scenario.
