Quartney Davis has the feet and the feel to win from the slot but is he what the Arizona Cardinals need?

As the names came out on who the Arizona Cardinals are working out or now interviewing, one name caught my eye in the sense of… why?

Quartney Davis is a 6-1 201lbs wide receiver from Texas A&M who profiles and plays as a slot receiver.

My buddy Kyle Posey had this to say:

Davis can be a player with consistent production in the slot. He may never be a star, but he’ll remain on a roster because he understands how to get open.

One of the best things about Davis is his short area quickness, but he doesn’t seem to have a spot where he would fit with the Arizona Cardinals.

Davis ran a 4.54 forty and plays much quicker than fast.

He looks like a nice day three type of prospect who can compete, but doesn’t look like he’d take snaps over Christian Kirk. With the hopeful development of Andy Isabella in the slot, something Isabella was learning in 2019, it is hard to see where Davis would fit in.

He’s a good prospect, maybe just not the right fit for the Arizona Cardinals.
