Armchair Scouting: CeeDee Lamb

Big 12 Football Championship - Baylor v Oklahoma Photo by Ron Jenkins/Getty Images

BIO:

Name: Cedarian (CeeDee) Lamb

Age: 21 (Junior)

Attended: The University of Oklahoma (#2)

COMBINE MEASUREMENTS AND TESTING:

Height: 6’2

Weight: 198 lbs.

Arm Length: 32 1/4”

Hand Size: 9 1/4”

40 YD. Dash: 4.50 seconds

Bench Press: 11 reps

Vertical Jump: 34.5”

Broad Jump: 124”

STRENGTHS:

Elite ball skills and body control. Plays through contact, comfortable going up and outside of his body to rein the ball in. Physical and crafty with the ball in his hands, will create additional yards and play through and around tackles. Versatile, linging up all over the formation, including a significant workload from the slot. Does not take plays off, hunts for blocks and is as capable as he is willing when executing blocks. Play strength is a plus.

CONCERNS:

Top speed can sometimes leave another gear to be desired. Not the most fluid athlete. While not an overwhelming concern, but did face relatively little press coverage.

SUMMARY:

CeeDee Lamb took a huge leap from his sophmore to junior year despite a significant reduction in surrounding talent. Lamb has all the skills and physicality to become a legitimate #1 receiver in the NFL and my number 1 receiver in a very stacked crop of wideouts.
