Trading down seems like one of the most sought after ideas in the 2020 NFL Draft for Arizona Cardinals.
The question becomes who is the guy that could be had in a trade down.
One name that has come up at the end of round one, meaning a trade down into the 20’s, is Jeff Gladney of TCU.
Gladney is a smaller, leaner cornerback with elite short area quickness and the ability to cover deep like few can.
In fact, he is willing to take chances because of his makeup speed.
He had a massively productive senior season with the Horned Frogs and continued to get better each year at TCU.
His frame is a concern at 5-10 191lbs but he seems to be a player that has consistently overcome his undersized stature.
Gladney’s high end comparison is that of Adoree Jackson. That’s a very high end comparison, but he plays similarly and is built in the same way.
Low end is a concern as Gladney could see similar struggles to Eric Murray, who has been up and down in his career as he tried to transition to a slot cornerback.
Gladney at the end of the first round is an interesting idea, would you be up for that with a trade down?
