2020 NFL Draft rumors, trade talks and more

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

It’s 2020 NFL Draft day and that means there are plenty of rumors heading into the draft tonight.

I’m not saying what is going to happen but I think passing along the information is good for knowledge.

So, let’s get to some of the fun tidbits heading into tonight’s NFL Draft.

  • Detroit Lions will trade down from the third pick and still get the player they want in Derrick Brown
  • Miami Dolphins are trading up to the third pick to take… Andrew Thomas?
  • The New York Giants have focused in on Tristan Wirfs.
  • The Chargers are allegedly focused on a non-QB with the sixth pick.
  • The Panthers could be interested in a wide receiver (CeeDee Lamb) but may luck into someone else.
  • Tampa Bay wants to get up to get an offensive tackle and the eighth or ninth pick are the spots if two come off the board in the first five picks.
  • Atlanta is looking to move up for C.J. Henderson, but there is a real chance that Jeff Okudah is available at seven or eight.
  • San Francisco is a spot that New Orleans may move up for if Henry Ruggs III makes it there. The Saints also like Javon Kinlaw.
  • Miami seems to like Jordan Love but if Tua and Herbert fall out of the top 10, could they move back up again?
  • Looks like the Arizona Cardinals may be pivoting from Tampa Bay to either the Falcons or Dolphins in a trade down scenario.

If the first seven picks fall:

  1. Joe Burrow
  2. Chase Young
  3. Andrew Thomas to Dolphins
  4. Tristan Wirfs
  5. Derrick Brown to Lions
  6. Isaiah Simmons
  7. Jeffrey Okudah

What would you want the Arizona Cardinals to do at eight?
