With the Arizona Cardinals getting Isaiah Simmons and Josh Jones through the first two days of the 2020 NFL Draft the team has found a way to not only address their needs but also do so with high end talent.

In getting Isaiah Simmons with the eighth pick and Josh Jones with the 72nd pick, the Cardinals were able to secure two of the top 15 players in the 2020 NFL Draft from my board.

While we all know of Simmons complete game, Jones brings something the Cardinals have not had along the offensive line.

Jones played with the Houston Cougars and started 45 games over four seasons at the left tackle position.

He did so under the supervision of four offensive line coaches and three offensive coordinators in Houston.

Yet one thing was consistent, Jones protected the quarterback.

Jones is raw in the sense his technique needs some work, but it somehow doesn’t matter. His results are better than any other offensive line prospects in the draft.

Jones will only get better as he gets consistent work in an offense, one he’s familiar with due to his time at Houston, but also works with an offensive line coach consistently.

Simmons is the known commodity, be excited, but Josh Jones will be a player on the Arizona Cardinals offensive line for a long time coming
