The Arizona Cardinals continue to invest in big bodied defensive linemen with their day three picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.
With their second pick in the fourth round, the Arizona Cardinals select Rashard Lawrence a defensive tackle out of LSU with the 131st pick in the draft.
Lawrence is a 6-2 308lbs defensive tackle with experience playing all across the line in a dominant LSU defense.
Lawrence wasn't a great pass rusher, but along with newly drafted Leki Fotu they will bring big bodies that are good at controlling the line of scrimmage and help keep the linebackers clean, something that was an issue in 2019.
Lawrence is one of those nasty, physical guys who likes to make things into a fight throughout the game. He's a fire plug inside, but has long arms and does a nice job of engaging his blockers and fighting at the point of attack.
He has the look of a player who can be a nice rotational defender in a 34 defense.
