Arizona Cardinals sign Cincinnati wide receiver Rashad Medaris as undrafted free agent

NCAA Football: Cincinnati at Houston Maria Lysaker-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals signed 21 undrafted free agents and we’ll take a look at them over the next four or five days.

Let’s get to know them before they are gone.

Let’s get to know Cincinnati wide receiver Rashad Medaris.

From the team:

“Cincinnati wide receiver Rashad Medaris (meh-DARE-iss) (5-11, 178) played in 31 games in three seasons (2017-19) with the Bearcats and caught 57 passes for 887 yards (15.6-yard avg.) and five touchdowns after beginning his college career at Western Illinois. In 2019, the Indianapolis, IN native played in 14 games and had 25 receptions for 354 yards (14.2-yard avg.) and two touchdowns. As a junior in 2018, Medaris played in 12 games and had 26 receptions for 472 yards (18.2-yard avg.) and three touchdowns.”

A loaded receiver room is going to be hard to crack for the smaller Medaris. He’s not a burner either. However he is a physical player who has contributed to special teams already. Maybe he is a Trent Sherfield type?
