The Arizona Cardinals need some help on defense still.
Not in a starting manner, but they definitely need depth and at one position they could really use it is at pass rusher.
While Devon Kennard is primed for a nice year, he’s not a prolific pass rusher (he hasn’t been asked to be either).
Two veteran free agents who have had markets despite not signing -- Jason Peters, Everson Griffen. Both have had strong interest from multiple teams (Cardinals believed to be among those for Griffen). Both staying patient, waiting for right opportunity.

So, the Cardinals having interest in veteran pass rusher Everson Griffen actually makes sense.
Griffen is an extremely accomplished with three seasons over 10 sacks and three additional seasons with eight sacks.
So Griffen would add a nice veteran presence for the Cardinals to pair with Chandler Jones and be used in the same way the Cardinals did in John Abraham or Dwight Freeney that had nice seasons with the Cardinals.
Griffen is coming off a really strong year for a 32 year old pass rusher, so maybe he had a bit of juice left in the tank.
What would you think about Griffen coming back home to potentially finish his career?
