With the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL waiting to start their on field work we know that the team looks to be lead by their offense.
In fact, the Arizona Cardinals made a massive jump in their offensive production after one of the worst offensive performances the NFL has seen in 2018.
Another jump, albeit unlikely as massive is expected in 2020.
If it does not happen, the question becomes why?
Who are three players that could derail the Arizona Cardinals continued rise offensively? Let’s keep Kyler Murray out of it because that would be too obvious.
Here are the three the Arizona Cardinals can’t afford to fail in 2020.
- DeAndre Hopkins - We’ve already seen what the Cardinals offense looks like without a top tier wide receiver. If Hopkins doesn’t produce, the Cardinals offense will probably be good, but similar to 2019 good, not good enough to make them a playoff contender in 2020.
- D.J. Humphries - Humphries had a nice season in 2019, the team needs at least that much in 2020.
- Kenyan Drake - When the Cardinals offense was at their best, they had a competent and effective rushing attack. While Chase Edmonds did a nice job, Drake changed the offense for the Cardinals. If he fails in 2020, it would be a crushing blow to the hopes of the Cardinals playoff chances.
Outside of Murray, who are your three players the Cardinals can’t afford to fail in 2020?
