It was announced on Sunday that former USC star offensive lineman Max Tuerk passed away while hiking with his family.
The 26 year old Tuerk had a brief tenure with the Arizona Cardinals, but he was still a member of the organization and will always be in the books.
He appeared in one game and spent time on the practice squad in 2017 before being released in April or 2018.
The former Cardinal was a third round pick of the then San Diego Chargers in 2016.
Tuerk tore his ACL his final season in college and then struggled to find his way in the NFL. He was inactive all of 2016 and then suspended the first four games of 2017.
He was released and signed to the Chargers practice squad, where the Arizona Cardinals poached him from on November 6, 2017.
He made his lone NFL regular season appearance in the Cardinals 23-0 victory over the New York Giants on Christmas Eve 2017.
Our condolences to the Tuerk’s as well as his family and friends.
