It’s been an interesting year, 2020.
After the Super Bowl that saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers the NFL has lost basically their entire offseason.
While this is miniscule in the scope of real life, this is a board about the NFL and that’s why I wanted to take a straw poll of what your confidence level we get a 2020 NFL season?
I think baseball will be the litmus test that will give us an answer. The MLB owners have decided to go forward with a 60-game season after they have been unable to come to any type of agreement with the MLB players association.
I think MLB will give us a two-fold answer:
- Who is willing to even play.
- If/when a player comes down with the virus during the season how will the team and league handle it?
Those will help us see how a professional sport handles it and then if it can be implemented similarly in the NFL.
I know this is a touchy subject so let’s try and stay on the topic of if the NFL will have a season.
Not the political end of things. So consider this the reminder.
