The Arizona Cardinals will open their 2020 home schedule against a new team.
It became official today that the Washington Redskins will no longer use that moniker and will be unveiling a new team name and logo in the near future.

The new name is delayed a bit because there may be some trademark issues ongoing of the preferred name.
"Two people with knowledge of the [Redskins'] plans said Sunday that the preferred replacement name is tied up in a trademark fight, which is why the team can’t announce the new name Monday." https://t.co/NSv6iDBcom

The betting favorite still seems to be the Redtails, with the Generals, Warriors and Presidents all closely following. Redwolves is right behind that group and was not on the betting list last time, so if you have a hankering, that may be a good play.

Washington Football Team New Name
Redtails 3/1
Generals 4/1
Warriors 4/1
Presidents 5/1
Redwolves 6/1
I stand by my previous thought that the Redtails or now Redwolves would be the best new moniker that would require the least amount of overhaul.
Either way, the Cardinals will be playing someone new on September 20, 2020… at least we hope they are playing.
