The Arizona Cardinals have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of great trades.

Steve Keim has struggled a bit outside of finding similar impact players in the draft, hopefully prior to 2019, but trading for Carson Palmer and Chandler Jones, maybe DeAndre Hopkins as well has shown to be hugely impactful.

Palmer had a nice run with the Cardinals before retirement.

Jones has become one of the elite edge rushers in the NFL and ESPN ranked the top ten edge rushers in the NFL and Jones’ ranking shows that he is gaining the respect of from around the league as well.

From E$PN:

2. Chandler Jones, Arizona Cardinals

Age: 30 | Highest ranking: 1 | Lowest ranking: 7

Jones also gets credit for producing despite playing without many stars around him in Arizona. He can stop the run or dominate third down. And he tied for the league lead with eight forced fumbles.

“Nobody talks about him because his team stunk,” one NFL offensive coach said. “But he produces every week.”

Jones has been a one man wrecking crew for the Arizona Cardinals pass rush, and he has done it consistently.

That’s maybe the most amazing part of Jones’ time in Arizona, his sack totals have been: 11 - 17 - 13 - 19

Jones just produces, 60 sacks in four seasons is special and his play has been more than the Cardinals could have hoped for.

Now, let’s hope they can do enough around him to give the defense the boost it needs.
