Much has been made about the Arizona Cardinals adding another pass rusher to pair with Chandler Jones.
Local product Everson Griffen was a free agent, is a veteran pass rusher and has some juice left so it made a bit of sense to bring the Agua Fria alumn back to the valley.
It never came to fruition as Griffen has instead signed a quietly impressive deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
The #Cowboys are giving Everson Griffen a 1-year deal worth $6M, source says. A nice payday for the veteran. https://t.co/ubi2xRKYpp

That begs the question... Would you have made that deal for Griffen?
I like Griffen as a player and think he would bring some much needed pass rush off the edge, however at $6 million it seems a bit excessive for a player you don’t want to see too much of, especially after paying Devon Kennard this offseason.
Instead, I think it worked out for everyone involved that Griffen heads to Dallas and the Cardinals continue to workout younger, cheaper players.
What do you think?
