The Arizona Cardinals have apparently found their Robert Alford replacement.
#AZCardinals are planning to sign FA CB Dre Kirkpatrick, source said, pending his physical. He’s on a visit there and assuming all works out to finalize the deal, he would reunite with DC Vance Joseph. They were together with the #Bengals & Dre credits Joseph with his development

Kirkpatrick was already on a visit with the team and it had been reported that he was “their guy” essentially when gauging the rest of the free agent cornerback market.
Here it is - This is definitely the guy the Cards want https://t.co/zSgQYHkxkv

Kirkpatrick is coming off of a 2019 with the Bengals having started 6 games with 33 tackles, 4 passes defended and 1 fumble recovery before suffering a knee injury that sent him to IR.
The Cardinals had already added B.W. Webb and Ken Crawley for depth at the position earlier this week.
With this move, the Cardinals can expect Byron Murphy Jr. to remain their starting slot corner rather than move outside.
UPDATE:
The contract details are below and Kirkpatrick’s deal is expected to be for the veteran minimum salary this season:
