Arizona Cardinals cut three undrafted free agents heading into start of training camp

The Arizona Cardinals continue to make roster moves, today releasing three players from their 80-man roster.

From the team:

Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has released offensive lineman Jake Benzinger, safety Reggie Floyd and wide receiver Rashad Medaris.

Benzinger was a swing tackle coming out of Wake Forest, but went undrafted because of his lack of athleticism. He seemed like an easy cut with no training camp and preseason. He was only okay at Wake, so not a shock.

Floyd is a box safety who didn’t profile to much more than an Ezekiel Turner or Chris Banjo, so again, hard to find a spot for him on the roster in this training camp.

Medaris is a bit of a surprise, but his lack of production and limited build in college again likely made keeping him without a chance to perform in games, tough.

These were cuts more expected, big school prospects that went undrafted that did not have off field or injury issues.

Good luck to all in their continued pursuit of their dreams.
