The Arizona Cardinals have a week left to get down to their final 53 and have already started.
Last week the team announced they had released B.W. Webb, the veteran cornerback.
Now the team has announced the release of four other players.
Rookie undrafted free agent tight end Ryan Becker, the H-Back from SMU was released.
Rookie undrafted free agent Steven Gonzalez was an offensive guard from Penn State that was released as well.
Former Air Force cornerback Zane Lewis, someone many thought would be a potential surprise roster candidate was released.
Finally, former Florida Gators defensive end Adam Shuler was released from the team.
That is five players released taking them to 75 players on the roster, meaning at least 22 other players getting released by next Sunday.
I would guess a couple of these players could be part of the 16-man practice squad group, but there’s no way of knowing with the new rules at this point.
Good luck to all in their next stops.
