The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of offensive lineman Koda Martin, according to The Arizona Republic’s Bob McManaman.

Martin (6-7 300lbs) is a former offensive lineman for Syracuse University’s football team who signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

He started all 13 games at right tackle for the Syracuse Orange after joining the team as a graduate transfer from Texas A&M in 2018. He was the Aggies’ primary swing tackle and even made a start at tight end.

The Texas native appeared in a combined 47 games at Syracuse and Texas A&M with 29 starts. His 1,111 snaps played in his final year in college was the most on the team, earning 2018 All-ACC Third Team and 2018 All-ECAC First Team selection.

Entering the NFL, he started his professional career as a guard. After suffering an injury last offseason, he was waived by the Chargers, reverted to their injury reserve list, and waived again before signing with the Cardinals.

His versatility makes Martin a very intriguing add as he will battle for a backup role or a spot on the practice squad during this shortened offseason.

Welcome to the Arizona Cardinals!
