The Arizona Cardinals cut three players and now have officially signed two, while it is being reported they have signed another in Koda Martin.
Today, the team announced they have signed Kentrell Brice and wide receiver Andre Patton.
From the team:
Brice (5-11, 200) played three seasons (2016-18) with Green Bay after entering the league in 2016 with the Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Louisiana Tech. He appeared in 36 games (14 starts) with the Packers during the regular season, totaling 100 tackles, an interception, six passes defensed and a fumble recovery and also played in three postseason contests, posting nine tackles and a pass defensed. The 25-year old Brice spent the 2019 offseason with Tampa Bay and was recently with Chicago until he was released on July 26.
Patton (6-2, 200) played in 13 games (five starts) last season with the Chargers and had six receptions for 56 yards and three special teams tackles. He originally entered the league in 2017 with the Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Rutgers. The 26-year old Patton spent his first two seasons (2017-18) on the Chargers practice squad prior to being elevated to the active roster last season. He was released by the Chargers on August 1.
So, they cut a safety and wide receiver and brought in the same positions in veterans. This was the worry of no offseason, limited training camp and no preseason.
Welcome aboard to Kentrell Brice and Andre Patton.
