Arizona Cardinals officially sign Angelo Blackson, release Michael Dogbe

The Arizona Cardinals have officially signed Angelo Blackson and in a corresponding move released Michael Dogbe.

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed defensive lineman Angelo Blackson to a one-year contract and has released defensive lineman Michael Dogbe.

Blackson (6-4, 319) is a five-year veteran who has played with Houston (2017-19) and Tennessee (2015-16) in his NFL career. He has appeared in 69 games (21 starts) and has 77 tackles (49 solo), seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The 27-year old Blackson entered the league with Tennessee as a fourth-round selection (100th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Auburn. He started 15 games last season with the Texans and had 20 tackles after playing in all 16 games (four starts) with Houston in 2018. Blackson was released by the Texans on Saturday.

Blackson will wear jersey #96.
