That was a quick turnaround for the Arizona Cardinals former seventh round pick Michael Dogbe.

Once the defensive lineman cleared waivers the Arizona Cardinals announced that they would be bringing Dogbe back to the practice squad.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has re-signed defensive lineman Michael Dogbe to the practice squad.

Dogbe (6-3, 280) was released by the Cardinals yesterday. He played in eight games last season as a rookie and had five tackles.

Dogbe is a nice prospect to keep around that could develop into a solid rotational piece but he isn’t there yet. In fact, that’s the reason the team brought in an Angelo Blackson over Dogbe. It’s not because Dogbe can’t become similar to Blackson, but because he’s not there yet.

Dogbe’s strength and athleticism is an impressive combination, but he still needs seasoning.

Let’s hope he gets that on the Cardinals practice squad.
