The NFC West is undergoing some renovations, especially in the Pacific Northwest where the Seattle Seahawks are making some coaching staff changes.
While the Seahawks signed General Manager John Schneider to a major extension, he’ll have to find a new offensive coordinator as the Seahawks have fired theirs in Brian Schottenheimer.
Schottenheimer had lead the Seahawks to being the sixth, ninth and eighth best scoring team in the NFL.
Schottenheimer also had the passing offense as one of the most efficient in the NFL, finishing top five in passing touchdowns each of the last three seasons.
That means the Seahawks and Russell Wilson will be looking once again for an offensive coordinator after firing theirs.
Since Russell Wilson came to the Seahawks, Darrell Bevell and Brian Schottenheimer were the offensive coordinators, both were let go because the team had philosophical differences and wanted to go in a new direction.
Who will that be?
Based on the limited information we have, it will likely be a coordinator that has a run heavy philosophy that aligns with what Pete Carroll wants to do.
