The Arizona Cardinals coaching staff will have another change on it, but this time it is for a good reason.
Assistant special teams coach Derius Swinton was hired by the Los Angeles Chargers to be their new special teams coordinator according to Ian Rapoport.
The #Chargers are hiring former #AZCardinals assistant special teams coach Derius Swinton as their new ST coach, per source. The first coordinator for new coach Brandon Staley.

Swinton has been the Arizona Cardinals only one season, but has a history with the Chargers new head coach in Brandon Staley.
Staley and Swinton were both part of the Chicago Bears staff under John Fox before Staley went to the Denver Broncos and Swinton went on to be the Detroit Lions offensive assistant in 2018.
Swinton has experience as a special teams coordinator for Chip Kelly’s one season as the 49es head coach.
It is not surprising, as the Cardinals special teams unit was once again very good, so Swinton has a good base to start with.
Good luck to Coach Swinton in his next journey in the NFL.
