The Committee of 101 — a group of national NFL media writers — has announced its selections for the top players and coaches for the 2020 NFL season.
These awards announced on Thursday will be presented during a virtual gala streamed on www.101awards.com on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
This year’s award recipients include:
- AFC Offensive Player of the Year: Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans
- NFC Offensive Player of the Year: Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
- AFC Defensive Player of the Year: T.J. Watt, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
- NFC Defensive Player of the Year: Aaron Donald, DT, Los Angeles Rams
- AFC Coach of the Year: Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns
- NFC Coach of the Year: Ron Rivera, Washington Football Team
The Cardinals saw first hand how destructive Aaron Donald is as a player, but it is interesting to see Rivera get the award. When the Cardinals took on the WFT early in the season, it looked like it would be a struggle for the Football Team to win many games. Instead they got into the playoffs and gave the Buccaneers fits with a backup quarterback.
Anything stand out to you?
