UPDATE: Cards release receiver coach David Raih, Tom Clements retires as passing game coordinator.

Kingsbury is shaking up an offensive staff that falter in the final eight games of the season.

According to CBS Sports Jason La Canfora, the Arizona Cardinals are moving on from receiver coach David Raih.

Raih joined the Cardinals in 2019 following the hiring of head coach Kliff Kingsbury. He had previously worked with Kingsbury as an outside receivers coach while at Texas Tech back in 2013. Raih also spent time working with the Green Bay Packers.

The move comes as no surprise to those of us who closely watched Arizona’s receiving unit become one of the worst in the NFL. Outside of All Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona grossly lacked any consistency from their second and third receiving options.

Second round pick Andy Isabella has been a major disappointment, while third year man Christian Kirk has failed to take the next step in his development. Given the investments at the position, the receiver unit as a whole was arguably the most disappointing on the team.

In addition, long time coach Tom Clements has retired as the team’s passing game coordinator, with Cam Turner being promoted to QB coach.
