Well that sucks.
The Arizona Cardinals seemed to make it through 2020 without these issues impacting one of their stars.
Unfortunately for them, 2021 is not the same.
Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that Cardinals star pass rusher Chandler Jones is being placed on the Covid-19 reserve list.
The Cardinals have placed star pass rusher Chandler Jones on the Reserve/COVID-19 list due to a positive test.

This is not the news the Arizona Cardinals needed heading into a big matchup with the Cleveland Browns and we still do not know the status of Byron Murphy Jr or Marco Wilson.
Losing a premier pass rusher going against a really good offense is always an issue. It’s a bigger issue when you are down cover guys.
The saving grace may be that the Browns bread and butter is their dynamic rushing attack.
So, it may not be a huge deal if the game is close and the Browns are running the ball, but let’s be honest, this defense is better with Chandler Jones than they are without him.
Let’s hope it is a quick recovery for Jones.
