Corey Peters joins long list of Arizona Cardinals on Covid-19 reserve list

Welp, it has been one of those weeks.

After a fantastic 5-0 start to the 2021 season, the Arizona Cardinals are hitting adversity before they even play game six.

The team announced on Sunday that defensive lineman Corey Peters was also placed in the Covid-19 reserve list.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has placed defensive lineman Corey Peters on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and has elevated defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter to the active roster from the practice squad.

Ledbetter (6-4, 282) signed with the Cardinals practice squad on September 3 after spending the preseason with Miami. He entered the league in 2019 with Miami as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Georgia and played in the season opener as a rookie and had four tackles before being placed on injured reserve. Ledbetter missed the 2020 season on the non-football injury list. While at Georgia, the 24-year old Ledbetter played in 43 games (28 starts) and had 122 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Ledbetter will wear jersey #93.

Let’s hope this is a quick turnaround for all the Cardinals on the list.
