While the Arizona Cardinals made a big move at tight end last week for Zach Ertz, they continue to shuffle their practice squad as well.
The team announced today they have signed tight end David Wells to their practice squad.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed tight end David Wells to the practice squad.
Wells (6-6, 260) was on the practice squads of the Colts and Falcons earlier this season after spending the preseason with Atlanta and New England. He originally entered the league in 2018 with Dallas as an undrafted rookie free agent from San Diego State and spent time on the Chiefs practice squad in 2018 and the Patriots practice squad in 2020. Wells missed the 2019 season on the Chiefs injured reserve list. While at San Diego State, he played in 52 games (24 starts) and had 38 receptions for 449 yards and six touchdowns.
Welcome to the desert, David.
